ELLEN GORDON - Ellen Gordon is a Stamford based mixed media artist. Her work is based on drawings from private sessions with a model. The finished work speaks about the creative magic that happens when inspiration and form collide. The artwork itself is the result of a searching process – finding the shapes and lines in both the figure and transcribing those lines into contemporary portrait compositions.

Ellen Gordon’s art training is from the Greenwich Art Society, Silvermine Arts Guild and the Rowayton Arts Centre. She holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a master’s degree from Baruch College, NYC. She has exhibited regionally and has received many awards, including Best in Show, 2017 Ridgefield Guild of Artists Members’ Exhibition; Best in Show, 2017 Greenwich Art Society Members’ Exhibition “Peripheral Vision” at the Flinn Gallery, and Best in Show 2013 in the 96th Annual Greenwich Art Society Juried Exhibition. Her work is in many private locations across the country and abroad. Ms. Gordon is on the board of the Greenwich Art Society and is the immediate past director of the Loft Artists Association in Stamford. Ms. Gordon teaches art programs for art lovers of all ages.
