EXPLORING COLOR THEORY WORKSHOP

ANDREW LATTIMORE

“Color is my day long obsession, joy and torment.”  Claude Monet

This workshop is designed for artists of all levels who want to advance their confidence and understanding of color as it relates to the palette and painting. We’ll explore the vital relationship between color and value as well as the science of color. The workshop will consist of multiple exercises structured to heighten your awareness of color as it relates to your artwork. Blending paint, interpreting value, and your knowledge of chroma and hue will be taught. By the end of the workshop, you will have a more in-depth understanding of your palette and confidently go about creating the colors that will take your artwork to the next level.
