STUDIO SCHOOL POLICIES:

REFUND POLICY/CANCELLATIONS: If the School cancels a course or workshop, all fees will be refunded. In the event a course or workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, notice will be given one to three days prior to the course or workshop start date.  If a student cancels more then seven (7) days prior to the start date of a weekly class, the School will refund the tuition paid, less a $30 cancellation fee. If a student cancels seven (7) days or less before the start date the student will forfeit their entire tuition. There are no refunds for no-shows or for withdrawals after a class begins.

NO PRORATED CLASS FEES: Unless indicated in the course description that a class is being offered in a split-term format (5 weeks and 5 weeks with a 10-week term), we cannot prorate classes. Students must pay for the full term.

WAITING LISTS: If a workshop or class is full, interested students may sign up on a waiting list. No registration fee or deposit is required to be on the waiting list. Students are notified of openings in the order they sign up on the waiting list. When students are notified of openings, they must pay the registration fee and tuition, or they will lose their place on the list.

SUPPLIES: Supply lists are emailed to students upon registration for classes.

COURSE OR WORKSHOP CHANGES:
The School reserves the right to change its calendar, withdraw or modify courses or workshops, or to use substitute instructors, as needed. Classes or workshops not held due to bad weather or instructor’s absence will be rescheduled according to studio availability. The School will make every effort to notify students of major changes in the schedule. Greenwich Art Society reserves the right to require withdrawal of any student whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the Studio School.

COURSE LOCATIONS: Most workshops and classes are held at the School. Note that plein air painting sites are typically located a 15-60 minute drive from the School. Portable equipment and transportation are required for these courses. Students attending Destination Workshops will be given instructions on where to meet the first day of the workshop, as well as recommendations for lodging.

NEW!  INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

GAS Studio School will no longer be following the Greenwich Public School’s website for closure information on bad weather days.

On the morning of inclement weather, students will be advised by their instructor as to whether or not class will still be held, re-scheduled or moved onto Zoom (for classes already set up as hybrid courses).  Please make sure the office has your most up to date contact information.

PARKING:  A new pay station lot has been installed across the street that allows for easy payment for parking. Please note, the meters on Greenwich Ave have a time limit of two hours only.  The pay station allows for longer-term parking and provides step- by-step payment directions.

We advise students to come to class a bit early and first drop off supplies either at the rear or the front of the building. Then, proceed to the parking lot in order to secure a parking space and become familiar with the pay station.

CLASS SCHEDULES AND FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT PAYMENT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED
